And I
10.18.05 (1:31 pm) [edit]
I tried not to get addicted to Laguna Beach. I TRIED and FAILED. There is something about watching rich white kids make their lives more complicated than they need to be interesting. I'm so into the whole LC/Jason relationship. I'm just happy she's not waiting around for Stephen anymore. AND THERE IS GOING TO BE A 3rd SEASON!!!!!
I had to seriously have flunked my exam today. I thought I was prepared, but there were some I had no idea where they came from and others that were extremely confusing, like you knew the answer but your overanalyzing made you think it was something else. I just don't feel good about the Exam. The last one I took for that class I knew I got a couple wrong, but thought there was no way I got anything below an A(and I was right). This one, blah.
I hate when it rains.

Our Men Fight On to Victory
10.15.05 (7:06 am) [edit]
This years Notre Dame/USC game is the talk of the town/state/country. For the first time in three years, I am nervous. In the past few games when we fell behind it was ok. I knew we would pull it out in the second half. But this is Notre Dame. This is South Bend. This is huge crowds that can take anyone out of their game. Not that losing to Notre Dame means the end of the Trojans 3-Pete run. Among all our rivals Notre Dame is the one we most respect because of the similarities in the history of our programs. Fight On!
I have 3 exams next week and 4 in the week that follows. Crap. I also still have to do another 3-4 hours of community service.

Go White Sox!
10.07.05 (11:25 am) [edit]
I went into Barnes & Noble to buy a book for one of my classes that cost about $10.50. I came out of the store with 6 books and having spent $65.49. I need help. I don't have any more room. I have books stacked on books. For shame.
Alright, so, school is getting tiring. I haven't slept in two days and I'm panicking that I haven't done enough. I'm seriously on edge today. How tired am I? I didn't give a damn about "Z" today. It seems fair since he doesn't even know I exist.
Things I've learned this week in school: That it is possible for someone to make Biology boring That I have no interest in the wind patterns of the world That I could give a damn if Bach had 13 children with his second wife
But lets talk about tv. Smallville was very awww-worthy. Boo to Gilmore Girls. Law & Order: SVU was OMG.

I feel great. I've gotten my life down the right path now. I know what I'm going to do. It will take me a lot of hard work, but its what I want in order to prove to myself that I am what my family thinks I am. I can't believe it took me this long to make this decision, but at the same time I understand that the time I used up was essential in my ability to make an adult decision. I will increase by two years my expected graduation date to add the certification in Physical Therapy. When I graduate, not only will a have a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, I will also be able to practice as a physical therapist right out of college. I want to live on my own, have flexible work hours, and be financially independent while at Med school. For Med School I have decided I will apply to Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Washington, UNC, and USC.
It feels great to finally know WTF I am going to do.

Another Week
09.30.05 (10:58 am) [edit]
One of the rules of living in California, especially the South Bay, is that you have to have a favorite Beach Boys' song. Mine happens to be "Don't Worry Baby." It tends to be original. A lot of people like "I Get Around" or "Wouldn't it Be Nice." In class today someone said they had never heard a Beach Boys' song. Imagine the shock, hello, where the hell have you been? Their music provides the anthem for our style of life in Southern California.
In Man & Environment I have taken two exams. Two exams= 2 100% Exams
Had "Z" in my class today. I've played it cool. I don't talk to him or look at him. I do my own thing. Ok I lie, there have been glances. Can't I have glances?
BTW, having to buy a different version of one of your favorite songs because a) you don't have it on a CD and b)iTunes doesn't offer it sucks.

Rivalry is Big
09.26.05 (2:29 pm) [edit]
I have a friend that likes sending me these weird facts and stats about colleges. One was that CSUF is rated as one of the best public schools in the country. Another, which interests me, is that the average income of the family of a UCLA student is higher than that of a USC student. Here, UCLA students and alumn have been beating into our heads that we've only gotten into USC because of daddy and mommy. I honestly thought that the only reason I got into USC was because I'm from Inglewood,CA and Daddy works as a handy man for IPC and my Mom is a data entry clerk for a publishing company. They're in the same category as their scientist that pop up every two weeks on the news to tell all of L.A. about the big earthquake coming next month.
Less than 100 pages until I finish this very predictable book. Gomez has to be the most annoying character ever. Why marry the bestfriend of the girl you're in love? Why do it while you're waiting for the girl's husband to die? Why have three kids with your wife if your intention is to leave her once the love of your life's husband dies?
I just learned that I don't care for Vivaldi.
